Tryfon Kaimakamis from Ltfn - Nanotechnology Lab received the E-MRS - European Materials Research Society Graduate Student Award for his Paper "Solution processed large-area flexible OFETs using slot die printed organic dielectric films"!
Nanotechnology Lab LTFN visited A. Hatzopoulos S.A. facilities, where we were introduced in the philosophy of A. Hatzopoulos S.A. work practices, and fruitful discussions followed on upcoming joint ventures.

Prof. Stergios Logothetidis and Dr. Varvara Karagkiozaki visited the USC Schwarzenegger Institute at University of Southern California to discuss on Clean-Tech, Renewable Energy and Nanomedicine.
Prof. S. Logothetidis (LTFN, HOPE-A) was invited at CPES2018 - the Printable Wearable Flexible Symposium - in Toronto, Canada, organized by intelliFLEX, the Canadian Flexible and Hybrid Electronics Association, to give a Keynote talk on how Intelligent Nanomanufacturing of Flexible Organic Electronic Devices drives Greece towards Industry 4.0. Prof. Logothetidis discussed with intelliFLEX President, Mr. Peter Kallai, on how to pave the way for future joint ventures between the HOPE-A (Hellenic Organic & Printed Electronics Association) and intelliFLEX members.

Prof. S. Logothetidis gave a talk on Industry 4.0 being one-way for Greece, on May 7, at Electra Palace Hotel, in Thessaloniki, at the Forum on "Greece afterwards: Hopes & Risks - Preparing the 2019-2022 era".

The Research Committee (Special Account for Research Funds) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of the project “Smart in-line metrology and control for boosting the yield and quality of high-volume manufacturing of Organic Electronics (SmartLine)” funded under the Horizon 2020 Call FOF-08-2017 of European Commission, with Academic Head, Prof. Stergios Logothetidis, Professor of Physics, invites candidates to submit applications for two (2) positions (through the award of a work contract), until 31/08/2019 (and in the case of an extension of the project until its expiration with a corresponding adjustment of the amount) with a total anticipated remuneration 36.000,00 € (VAT and taxes included). SmartLine's 6th month Consortium Meeting took place at LayTec's facilities, in Berlin, on April 13th, with participation of AUTh, CRF, LayTec, Aixtron, IBS, Suragus and OET.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN, as a Digital Innovation Hub, was present at the Digitising European Industry Stakeholder Forum 2018 to share experiences and discuss the implementation of the Digitising European Industry initiative.
CORNET 2nd Technical Meeting has been successfully completed, with primary focus on Materials' Specifications and the Establishment of the Open Innovation Platform & Database. The meeting took place at the International Congress Center Munich, at Messe Munich, on March 13th, with participation of GRANTA, Fluxim, AUTh, OET, HOPE-A, NPL, UOI and USUR.
Nanotechnology Lab LTFN is officially a member of the European Factories of the Future Research Association. Under the 'Factories of the Future' public-private partnership, together with the other EFFRA members, it will contribute to producing demonstrators and models to be applied in a wide range of manufacturing sectors, with the aim to transform manufacturing in Europe.
Nanotechnology Lab LTFN will participate at Printed Electronics Europe, 11-12 April 2018. The event will take place at Berlin, Germany (Estrel Convention Center). We are looking forward for your visit at our booth 011. More information here.
