Lab for Thin Films - Nanobiomaterials - Nanosystems - Nanometrology

The Nanotechnology Lab LTFN having yearlong experience in National and European funding mechanisms, provides advice to research and business entities on appropriate financing tools and opportunities.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN runs the Postgraduate Programme “Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies” having created 250 Expert Scientists and Innovators in the field. The cutting-edge training provided prepares the next generation of researchers and entrepreneurs in Nanosciences, Organic Electronics and NanoBioMedicine.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN organizes annual International Summer Schools which give the opportunity to early-career scientists and engineers to grasp the current trends in the emerging fields of Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies, Organic Electronics and Nanomedicine through lectures from top-class experts, demonstrations of state-of-the-art techniques and tours in laboratory facilities.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN brings in a business-technology ecosystem with deep partnership opportunities (high-tech companies, universities, research institutes, Exhibitions, Workshops and many more) enabling companies to see and capture the full potential of the latest innovations.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN founded in 2012 the Hellenic Organic & Printed Electronics Association (HOPE-A) which coordinates industrial and research institutions in Greece in the field of Organic & Printed Electronics and strengthens their goals. HOPE-A has created a worldwide network of more than 1000 entities occupied in OEs through strategic collaborations with Germany, France, Japan and China developing a wide sphere of interactions. HOPE-A organizes Joint Workshops with its international partners, Exhibitions and B2B Meetings bringing business actors close with the scope to create joint ventures.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN established in 2003 the Research & Innovation Network Nano|Net, a Worldwide Network of more than 570 individual members (~1200 cluster members) structured around four Vertical (Nano(Bio)Medicine, Thin Films & Organic Electronics, Nanomaterials & Nanoengineering, Nano in Energy & Environment) and three Horizontal Clusters (Nanometrology & Tools, Modeling at the Nanoscale, Legal, Ethics & Health Safety Issues). NanoNet organizes Workshops and provides Brokerage services for international collaborations.

GR NanoMed Platform comprises130 Nanomedicine Companies, Institutions and Hospitals in Europe and worldwide promoting collaborations among them and organizing Nanomedicine Workshops.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN organizes for 15 years NANOTEXNOLOGY – the international multi-event which explores the opportunities in the emerging fields of Nanotechnologies, Organic & Printed Electronics and Nanomedicine. NANOTEXNOLOGY brings together over 2,000 researchers, scientists, engineers, business, technical and policy professionals to promote research and industrial collaborations, identify priorities and strengthen the innovation ecosystem.

NANOTEXNOLOGY comprises the International Conference on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies (NN), the International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronics (ISFOE),the International Conference on 3D Printing, 3D Bioprinting, Digital & Additive Manufacturing (I3D), the International Summer Schools "N&N, OE & Nanomedicine" (ISSON), the NANOTEXNOLOGY EXPO, a Business Forum, the Matchmaking Event and a plethora of Workshops, Special Sessions and Round Tables.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN has coordinated and participated in a plethora of EU and National R&D projects with international key players and several R&I success stories.

Currently Nanotechnology Lab LTFN coordinates two H2020 Projects:

The Factories of the Future Project Smartline which builds on Closed Loop Digital Manufacturing of Organic Electronic Devices (OPVs, OLEDs, PPVs, OTFTs) and Cornet which develops a unique Open Innovation Environment to Optimize OE Materials & Manufacturing Processes by Multiscale Modelling/Characterization.

Nanotechnology Lab LTFN is an internationally acknowledged specialist in Organic and Printed Electronics (OEs), Thin films and Nanomaterials Technology (vacuum, printing), Nanomedicine, Nanometrology, real-time/in-line Precision Metrology and Quality Control of Processes, Materials and Devices, Automation and Digital Manufacturing. It is occupied with cutting-edge Research and Manufacturing of OE devices for applications in Energy, Displays, Lighting, Electronics, Automotive, Nanobiomedicine, Smart Textiles and Wearables, IoT, Smart Food Packaging, Greenhouses, etc.
